JIM ROSS NOT WANTING TO APPEAR ON 'DARK SIDE AGAIN', GAGNE VS. THE GOVERNMENT AND MORE | PWInsider.com

What do you think of Jim Ross stating he was misrepresented in the editing room of Dark Side of the Ring and won't appear in future episodes?
Well, first, we haven't heard there will be future episodes yet, but if Ross felt they didn't correctly present him or his comments, he is 100% right in deciding never to appear again.
In the WWE Network documentary on the AWA, there is a story told that one of the reasons Verne Gagne burned through money was that he was trying to fight the United States goverrnment from seizing property via imminent domain. Obviously, he lost the legal fight but I was wondering whatever happened to the land in question.
Gagne owned a ton of land on the western end of Lake Minnetonka, a massive lake just west of the city of Minneapolis. The land is now part of Lake Minnetonka Regional Park with the Park HQ now located in what had been Gagne's home on the property.
I'm watching ECW TV on Peacock and there was a match called Ultimate Jeopardy. They show the ending of the match was Shane Douglas pinning Terry Funk via the piledriver for the title but not much else. What was the deal with this?
Ultimate Jeopardy was a 1994 Steel Cage match that headlined a Valley Forge, PA ECW event. The match had Wargames rules with the idea that everyone was facing a stipulation if they lost. The result of the match saw Shane Douglas, Mr. Hughes and The Public Enemy (Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge) defeat Road Warrior Hawk, Kevin Sullivan, Tazz and Terry Funk in a WarGames Match. Terry Funk's ECW Heavyweight Title on the Line. Douglas pinned Funk. As a result of stipulations, Douglas won the ECW Title. Had Hawk been pinned, he would have had to give up the Road Warrior gimmick. Had Douglas lost, his head would have been shaved. Public Enemy would have been forced to split up. Taz & Sullivan would have been forced to split up, etc. ECW only did the gimmick once more in 1996 as part of a tag team bout.
Does WWE have the rights to se Evel Knievel's look and outfit for Riddle?
I would assume it's changed enough to fall under parody.
Why didn't Bob Backlund have a longer run with the WWE Title in 1994?
Backlund was always planned to be a short-term titleholder, although the decision to go with Diesel at the time was a last minute planned attempt to recreate Hulk Hogan's defeat of the Iron Sheik in 1984, which at the time, set WWF on fire. I would agree that there was steam left in the Backlund character, but Backlund hadn't drawn on the house shows prior to winning the belt, which was a big way they measured success at the time, so it's likely WWF felt he wouldn't have been strong as a top focal draw and they'd always had their best success with over the top, larger than life superheroes and attempted to replicate that with Kevin Nash as Diesel.
