The new science-fiction film Everything Everywhere All at Once has several pro wrestling references, including one character wearing a lucha mask and characters pulling out a backbreaker, a dropkick and a piledriver during fight scenes.
Wrestlecom has already made it official they will return to Los Angeles for Wrestlemania 39 weekend next year.
There will be an official launch party and signing for the excellent Brian Solomon book on the Original Sheik Blood and Fire, this Tuesday 4/12 at Luna Azzurra restaurant in Fairfield, CT.
T-Mart Promotions continued to announce talents taking part in their The Gathering III convention the weekend of 8/4-8/7 in Charlotte, NC at the University Hilton. Also announced thus far as VIP Superticket guests are Jeff Jarrett, Jerry Jarrett, Eddie Sharkey (his first ever convention appearance) Marc Mero, Tiger Chung Lee (first ever convention appearance), Nikita Koloff, Paul Roma, Haku, The Tonga Kid aka Tama (so there will be an Islanders reunion), John Nord, Dutch Mantel, The Sandman, Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker (first ever convention appearance) Ricky Morton, Tito Santana, Jacques Rougeau, Francine, Shane Douglas, Paul Ellering, and The Mulkeys, who will all be available for photo and autograph opportunities. There will be three additional talents named. There will be seven Q&A Sessions over the course of the weekend, including Nikita Koloff and Paul Roma. as well as a Tribute Dinner with The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering as well as The Triple Threat. Ellering will be in attendance to accept on behalf of the Legion of Doom. Douglas and Francine will accept the Triple Threat's honor. The Gathering III will also feature a BBQ dinner to welcome everyone, live wrestling and more. Vendor guests announced for the weekend are Bill Eadie, Barry Darsow, Col. Robert Parker, Ken Resnick, Kevin Sullivan, Jimmy Valiant, Bryan "Adam Bomb" Clarke, Kerry Morton, Scott Norton, Earl Hebner, Fred Ottman, George South, The Brooklyn Brawler, Jimmy Golden aka Bunkhouse Buck, CW Anderson, Anthony Greene, The Powers of Pain, Sam Houston, former Nitro Girls Fyre, Spice, Chae and AC Jazz and more. The Mahoning Drive-In in Lehighton, PA, which for the last several years has put together the excellent Reel Rumble pro wrestling film weekends, has announced they will be screening the 1987 classic Predator featuring WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura in his first major film role alongside WWE Celebrity Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger on 5/3. For more, click here. Ventura won't be in attendance but he will be making a rare signing appearance on 5/7 for Tommy Fierro's 80sWrestling Convention in New Jersey.
