Why hasn't Gable Steveson been on WWE TV since Wrestlemania?
I believe he's still in college. They aren't going to start him as a regular until he's 100% ready. They have big plans for him.
Any update on Tammy Sytch? Is she in Florida or New Jersey?
Nothing new to report as of this writing. I have no idea of her current whereabouts.
With the announcement he was a free agent, I was wondering how did Gabe Sapolsky break into the business? I know he was the booker for ROH, but how did he get tapped for that?
Sapolsky broke into the business writing programs for ECW, which later graduated him into working on other areas, including ticket sales and filming house shows when he worked for RF Video. He also worked as something of an assistant for Paul Heyman. When RF Video opened Ring of Honor, he was tapped as the booker. When Cary Silkin bought ROH from founder Rob Feinstein, Sapolsky stayed on. Sapolsky was the main creative driver for the company, although all of the top level names have a say in their matches and there were some talent (Bryan Danielson and CM Punk for example) who were given a high level of trust to do what they believed was best. When Silkin let Sapolsky go, he founded Dragon Gate USA and later EVOLVE and eventually ended up with WWE NXT.
Whatever happened to former NWA Champion Ron Killings?
Seriously? He's been on WWE TV forever as R-Truth, as recently as this past Monday!
Am I crazy or do I remember a WCW match where a hockey guy was the referee?
I think you are thinking of Slamboree '94, which featured Philadelphia Flyer and Broad Street Bully Dave Schultz as the Street Fight referee for Kevin Sullivan & Cactus Jack vs. The Nasty Boys.
Is there anyone you wished had continued on in the business when they quit/departed/were released?
The name that comes to mind off the top of my head was Mike Kruel, who was a great talent who decided to move on when WWE cut him from developmental.
